Design Aptitude Test (SU DAT), an essential part of the selection procedure for any design aspirant. This includes an Online Exam and a Portfolio Evaluation. The Online Exam evaluates theoretical as well as the logical aptitude, while the Portfolio Evaluation tests the creative abilities of the aspirant. Based on this, SOD accepts a select number of students purely on merit.

Phase 2:-Portfolio Evaluation takes place after the written exam minimum score passed.This will be offline in campus.
In Portfolio Evaluation (PE)- 60 Marks
Candidates should focus on what is their uniqueness/individuality of their work and present it in an interesting way. They should showcase their ability to take inspiration from the surroundings, understanding of aesthetics, sensibilities and awareness of current trends.
A portfolio is generally a Collection – collages – cut outs - improvised / refined in a documented or non-documented form (any format Physical or Digital), composition of their Creative work – Illustrations - compiled or practiced over last few years, with their explorations and reflections.
Portfolio may consist of candidates - Unrefined, developmental work, Wide range of ideas and media, Experimentation, showing their creative journey – sketchbooks.
Candidates are allowed to also showcase their Digital compositions / Digital Portfolio, Physical Models and prototypes
